I do a lot of cast acrylic items… big and small. This acrylic is definitely superior to all the cast acrylic brands I use.
These are thick - and do not look like a cheap ornament. I fell in love with them as soon as I opened the box. I started pressing them immediately and was NOT disappointed. They are very vibrant after pressing.
They do not leave tape indents after pressing which is a huge plus, especially when you want to do a double sided ornament.
My sublimation paper did not stick to the blanks, so I did not need to scrub and wash them, another huge plus!!
Keeping them flat was easy, I use a book after pressing, they cool pretty fast so I was able to handle them without gloves within 30 seconds of pressing and they were perfectly flat.
I’m so impressed with these that I will be switching to these blanks exclusively for my ornaments.
I pressed these at 400 degrees for 120 seconds.
After pressing I open the press and immediately put a heavy book on top for about 20 seconds.
If you are new to cast acrylic or on the fence about trying them, this is the acrylic for you. I wish I had these when I first started!! DO IT!!!
